Ahhhh, artistic dilemma. I think the final one is the picture with the darker face...but then the light one also works quite well as well...Gah! It's got to that stage where you honestly can't tell which one looks better, and you know that you need to come down on one side of the fence sooner or later, and you know you'll probably pick the wrong one.
EDIT: Actually I'm going with the light one.
I'm liking the contrast on the darker one, but I think the darkness dulls the colours. I'd agree about picking the lighter one. If you're not sick of working on it, maybe work in some coloured shadows instead of plain black for a bit more contrast?
