First a painting:

Then some self-portraits. Not long till the finish line now.

Still have about a week to scan in still, but that can wait till next time. I'll probably try to start doing digital ones again as well. I feel the traditional self portraits are starting to become stale.

  1. Really nice material handling on #245 & #266. Have you ever thought about blocking out forms fully before jumping in on features? Something akin to this is what I'm thinking: http://characterdesigns.com/bandaid/content/tutorials/1/57/tutorial_000_0056.jpg
Might help you get a stronger handle on proportions.

Anyway, keep up the good work! You're frickin' dedicated.

  2. You're imagination, I envy it. Out of curiosity, the words on 08/07/11, are they your own?

  3. Yeah, I have a bad habit of just drawing in the eyes, nose, mouth and then simply a line for the jaw...So cheers for the link, I'll definitely be trying that out.
@Kat Yes they are. Late night ramblings of a madman.
